The results of the three contested wards are in, and Mount Alexander Shire has a new Council.  Congratulations to:

  • Tony Cordy - Calder Ward
  • Bill Maltby - Campbells Creek Ward
  • Phillip Walker - Coliban Ward

I would like to say a HUGE shout out to Kelly Ann Blake, Max Lesser, Kerrie Allen, Ken Price and Gavan Thomson who stepped out of their comfort zone in the interests of local community and stood to be our representatives.

A new looking council

These three will join:

  • Rosie Annear in Barkers Creek Ward
  • Lucas Maddock in Moonlight Creek Ward
  • Toby Heydon in Forest Creek Ward
  • Matt Driscoll in Loddon River Ward
  • Rosalie Hastwell in Tarrengower Ward

As the new Council for Mount Alexander Shire.

What now?

Stay tuned for the formal introduction of the Councillors via Mount Alexander Shire. The new Council will hold its first meeting on 26 November 2024 at 6:30pm.  A first task will be setting the next four year Council Plan from 2025.

Really Local will be looking for ways to engage community with their new Council, in person and online.
